It’s been a busy month for our Housing Solutions team as we have contributed to two major events in our Social Housing calendar – our annual Housing user day and the SFHA Finance Conference. These events provide an excellent opportunity to showcase our newest technologies, chat to our ever-growing customer base and keep up to date with the latest challenges affecting housing associations.
Breakdown of the day
Morning
After a warm welcome and introduction given by Paul, our event began with a presentation by Tim Truesdale from Infor who provided an informative SunSystems roadmap update. This entailed a discussion of SunSystems’ current position, where value can be added through Infor OS, how you can utilise Infor Cloud services and ended with SunSystems vision and strategy.
Our very own George Strathie was next up and delivered an exciting live demo of SunSystems with d/EPM and Infor OS. This technology brings together analytics, collaboration, document management, integration and mobility under one single platform.
After a refreshment break, our morning commenced with Andrew Parsons from Professional Advantage detailing Contract & Service Billing (CSB). This invoicing model is catered towards contract, recurring and ad hoc invoices. It’s purpose is to work with your business processes and remove manual tasks and increase billing accuracy and speed.
Eoin Maguire from Document Centric Solutions then gave a presentation on going paperless with e-Invoicing. This solution allows businesses to streamline purchase orders and invoice processes based on European PEPPOL Standard. Implementing these changes will allow you to benefit from from efficiency and cost savings for both your business and suppliers.
Afternoon
After lunch, our event continued with a presentation from the CEO of BPHA – Kevin Bolt who shared his experience of taking over the company back in 2014 and the transition they’ve gone through in the last 5 years. In addition to this, he added how incorporating SunSystems helped BPHA on their journey.
Samuel Carrington-Kennedy from Qlik then provided a update on Qlik focusing on the evolution of Business Intelligence. Qlik are currently entering the third generation of BI – referred to as a ‘Democratized’ approach. This is a development from the second generation ‘Data Discovery’ and provides business with the opportunity to do more with data, unlock it’s potential value and achieve a fully data site.
Following on from this, Andrew Parsons provided something new to customers – a “right every time” efficient business process management for Infor SunSystems called XMPro. This provides basic flow in each area designed to the standard and minimal requirements for automation and control of the area in question and is seen as the glue that holds everything together.
Our event ended with a live demo of Q&A 11 – Next Generation Reporting from George Strathie. As Q&A 10 is the central standard for reporting and data imports to Sun, the arrival of Q&A 11 with it’s combined product set, new interface, 64 bit excel support was notable and expertly demonstrated.
On the road at Crieff Hydro
Each year our Housing team exhibit at the SFHA Finance Conference and this year was no exception. This event provides the opportunity for delegates to – meet with housing professionals from a range of organisations, consider a diverse range of products and services available, initiate contracts which may lead to worthwhile partnerships and learn about work of other housing associations or co-operatives. Delegates were also given the opportunity to discuss opportunities further with our representatives Paul Sutherland or George Strathie.
Networking
Not only did these events allow delegates to receive informative presentations and live demonstrations of products, it also provided the opportunity for customers to network with other housing associations, share their own challenges or experiences and engage with members of the team.
Finally, a huge thank you to both our customers and speakers who attended our event, we sincerely appreciate your time and commitment to Kick . We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!
